Terms of Service

What we do

We visit cemeteries and care for memorials on behalf of families who cannot be there. That includes cleaning appropriate to the stone, tidying the immediate area, placing flowers and decorations, and photographing the memorial before and after.

We are not a cemetery, a monument company, or a landscaping service. We do not repair, re-set, or engrave stones, and we do not maintain cemetery grounds.

Before we begin

Every new customer starts with a $27 consultation. We visit the memorial, assess its condition, and agree the cost of any restoration work before it begins. You are never billed for restoration you have not agreed to.

You confirm that you may authorize this

By booking, you confirm you are entitled to request care for the memorial — as next of kin, plot owner, or with their permission. If a dispute arises between family members about who may direct our work, we will pause service until it is resolved.

Cemetery rules come first

Every cemetery has its own rules about cleaning products, decorations, what may be left at a grave, and for how long. Those rules override anything we agree with you. Where a cemetery removes or prohibits something, we will tell you, but we cannot override them and cannot refund a cemetery's decision.

Decoration pickup and storage

With Fall Cleanup, or at a member's fall care visit, we collect the decorations from the grave you name before the cemetery's deadline. We photograph the grave before we touch anything and each item as we take it, and we take nothing from any other grave. If the cemetery clears the grave before we arrive, we tell you straight away and refund the pickup.

Stored decorations go in one labelled tote per grave, with up to two stands or hooks. We do not store real or dried flowers, anything perishable, or anything larger than that. Please do not leave anything irreplaceable in our care. We look after what we store with reasonable care, and the limits in "What we are responsible for" below apply to it.

Members have pickup and winter storage included while their membership is active, for one grave and one tote. If a membership ends while we hold your things, you can pay the $29 season storage or collect them.

We do not mail decorations. If you chose to collect them, we hold them for 30 days after pickup and arrange a time to hand them over. Stored items are put back in spring if you chose that, or handed over the same way. Items not collected within 60 days of our written notice are disposed of respectfully.

Scheduling

Care runs April through November

We do not clean memorials in freezing weather. Water driven into cold stone freezes, expands, and lifts the surface. Winter visits are condition checks with photographs, not treatment. Flowers and decorations can be placed year round where the cemetery allows.

Flowers

Flowers are grown locally and cut to order. They are ordered at least ten days before the visit, and only for dates that fall inside the growing season. Outside that season the visit still happens — cleaning, decoration and photographs — without fresh flowers.

Bouquets are sold at the grower's own price. We do not mark them up. What we charge for is collecting, placing and tending them. What is in bloom changes week to week, so we cannot guarantee a specific variety.

Memberships

See Cancellation & Refunds for what happens to money already paid.

Photographs

You give permission for private before-and-after photographs when you book. They belong to you for your own use. We keep the right to use a photograph in our own marketing only if you give separate written permission — the permission in the booking form does not cover that.

What we are responsible for

We carry out our work with reasonable care and use cleaning methods appropriate to the stone. If we damage a memorial through our own negligence, we will put it right or pay for its repair.

We are not responsible for damage we did not cause: existing weathering or cracks, vandalism, weather, cemetery machinery, or items left at the grave by others. Except where our own negligence caused it, our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time. We may end service, with notice and a refund of anything not delivered, if a cemetery withdraws access, if the work would be unsafe, or if the authority to direct care is disputed.

Minnesota law

This agreement is governed by the law of the State of Minnesota, and any dispute belongs in the Minnesota courts.
